Occupy LA Heading to Fox Studios in Rancho Park/Century City Tomorrow

Occupy LA is planning a field trip Friday morning to Fox Studios which involves a possible Pico Blvd. "sit in" near the intersection of Pico Blvd. and Motor Ave.

 

The LAPD is expecting over 400 people to be arriving in stages between 9 and noon, with a possible civil unrest at 11:30.

 

In an email to neighborhood groups, Captain Evangelyn Nathan, area commanding officer of the West Los Angeles Community Police Station, said to expect major traffic delays and possible street closures, as some of the group may, "possibly try to take over Pico by sitting in the street."

 

The westside outing, billed as  "Occupy Fox Studios" coincides with a News Corp. shareholder meeting on the Fox lot. Occupy LA's website says buses will begin transporting people from City Hall to Fox at 8 am.  They also provide a map with  parking info and their call to action here.

The Hollywood Reporter says that the shareholder meeting is set for 10 am with top shareholders and board members expected to be there.
