Event Description

This will be a one-stop shop for not just learning about disaster preparedness, but also for doing something about it with plenty of hands-on activities.

Included are stations where you can practice first aid, use fire extinguishers, learn to care for pets and speak with representatives from the DWP, the Gas Company, CERT, LAFD and LAPD. Also, there will be disaster preparedness presentations, a fire truck and other emergency vehicles, a puppet show for kids, and the fair's highlight: the BIG SHAKER earthquake simulator (feel the power of a magnitude 8.0 quake).

And if you feel like shopping, even if you have all the supplies you need, there will be three major emergency supplies vendors.
