Rancho Park Post Office News: Save the Westside Pavillion Post Office Group Is Now on Facebook

As reported here on Rancho Park Online in an earlier post, the post office in the Westside Pavillion is among those being studied for possible closure by the U.S. Postal Service.

 

Now a Facebook group has formed to try and save Rancho Park's mall post office location.

 

Nationally, individuals and groups from rural areas and big cities alike are rallying to save their post offices too. Save the Post Office is a citizen-run blog that features stories from around the country and also links to information on what steps people can take to try to prevent closures, including online petitions and sample letters to send to elected officials.

 

Here is there full list of California offices being evaluated under what the USPS is calling its Expanded Access Study List.

The Veterans Administration is another Westside location marked for evaluation.

 

Where do you go to send your mail these days? Will you miss the mall location if it is closed? Will you fight to save it?
