Thanks to the folks at the Westwood Garden Homeowners Association who forwarded this clarification about some upcoming Expo Line nighttime work to take place along Expostion at Gateway, Sawtelle, Sepulveda, Westwood Blvds. and Overland Avenue over the next month.
The activities will take place Sunday through Thursdays at night, beginning at 7:00 p.m.. They include cleaning and inspecting of sewer and storm drain pipers and, if I understand the flyer correctly, the creation of potholes which the flyer explains is, "necessary to locate and identify existing underground utilities".
Be advised that some lanes of traffic may be closed while work is taking place.
Mitigation efforts will include sound blankets to buffer noise if neccesary and watering down the areas to decrease dust.
