Uncovering and recovering the Rancho Park Arcade

When I stopped by the new Blossom Floral, not only was I impressed with the selection but also what they did with the pedestrian alley between them and the nail salon.

The floral shop owner turned in the concrete walk into a living billboard of succulents and flowers.

Then I noticed the painted over sign above the alley - Rancho Park Arcade. The glass tube than once held neon proudly proclaimed a time when this strip was the Rancho Park Arcade. Still intact, it would be really cool if it just painted a neon color.

Of course Blossom used to be on the corner and now is two doors down on Pico. The owner said the corner shop was a lot more expensive. The alley was just a bonus - but what a bonus it turned out to be.

I left with some spider mums, ranunculus and a succulent that's now blooming.

Nice. How about a photo of your blooming succulent?
