Outdoor Movie Nights Around Rancho Park This Summer

Last year, our local Palms Park Recreation Center hosted some great outdoor movie nights. Sadly, this year they tell me they likely cannot hold the events due to budget cuts.

CBS Los Angeles put together this list of locations around the city and greater-LA area that are screening outdoor summer movies. For Rancho Park residents,  both the W Hotel in Westwood and the Century City mall are nearby options. Hopefully, next year we can return to watching movies under the stars right here at Palms Park.

Does anyone else know of any outdoor movie nights? Anyone want to join me to see Julie and Julia at the W on July 11? Or are you wondering why anyone would see a movie outside when we've got The Landmark, with their fantastic wine-serving, reserved- seating theatres, here in our own backyard?

It's not until August 10th but I already have The Goonies at Century City Mall on my calendar for my sons and I!  I wish they had more kid friendly choices but I realize that many people won't have their kids out late enough for an outdoor movie.

In the past, we've borrowed a projector and done outdoor movies in our backyard.  Great summertime fun!
