Dr. Milstein will discuss the latest scientific research that is currently in the news as well as some incredible research that will be tomorrow’s news. Topics include the neuroscience of emotions and personality, the latest research in aging, the interplay of genetics vs. environment on our health, understanding stem cell research as well as other fascinating science topics. We’ll also take a look at some real and exciting research that seems to be ripped straight from the pages of science fiction and investigate how modern science is actually catching up to science fiction.
Each lecture will demystify the most cutting edge science in an easy to understand and entertaining manner as well as provide empowering insight into revolutionary research that directly relates to your daily life and health.
Marc Milstein PhD earned his doctorate in biological chemistry and molecular biology from UCLA where his focus was breast cancer research. He currently performs neuroscience research at UCLA and created the popular lecture series “Science In Pop Culture” and “Your Amazing Brain” that have been given at UCLA, The Skirball Cultural Center, The California Science Center and throughout Los Angeles.
