The Book Truck at Children's Book World - Bring or Buy Books for Underserved Teens

Children's Book World Rancho Park's Children's Book World and The Book Truck are holding a teen book drive to reach readers all across Los Angeles. Stop by tomorrow to donate new or gently used books to this great cause.

Here's the info from their flyer.

Join us for a book drive to benefit underserved teens in Los Angeles!!!

Saturday September 27th @12pm

Children's Book World

10580 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90064

The Book Truck gives away free books to teens in underserved communities and also builds satellite libraries at dropout recovery high schools in LA.  At The Book Truck we believe that every book is unique; every teen is an individual and every person is a reader.

Books from our wish list will be available for purchase at Children’s Book World.  We also welcome donations of gently used young adult books!!  Our teens are always asking for copies of the following:

  • Popular YA titles, like The Hunger Games, Divergent, The Maze Runner, The Giver, and The Fault in Our Stars

  • Classics, like Fahrenheit 451, The Great Gatsby, and the Complete Works of Edgar Allen Poe

  • Non-fiction books, like the Guinness Book of World Records, the Weird But True Series, and books about sports

  • Adult fiction and non-fiction books that appeal to teenagers, like books by Stephen King and Nicholas Sparks and Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff
