Out of My Head: A New Musical About Group Therapy Now Playing at Rancho Park's Pico Playhouse

The Pico Playhouse is currently staging the Mechanicals Theatre Group's latest production, Out of My Head, a new musical about breakdowns and breakthroughs by Ryan Scott Oliver. The show runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 7:00 pm through August 21. You can purchase tickets through the Mechanicals' website. The show's run began July 28 and it received a favorable review over at LAist, where they called the play about  five New Yorkers in group therapy sessions, "oddly endearing."  The cast, songs and staging all got postive nods as well.

 

The Pico Playhouse is a 99-seat theater here in Rancho Park that is now home base for the Mechanicals. In addition to staging shows, this non-profit organization does outreach in local schools where arts funding has been cut.
