Happy Hour at Gyu-Kaku, My Rancho Park Hyperlocal Year Sizzles

Gyu-Kaku West LA on Pico is officially my kids' new favorite restaurant and I'm not just saying that because it is right here in Rancho Park.  They were so excited at the prospect of making smores right at our table, they gobbled down all their steak, shrimp, chicken, broccoli, sweet potatoes and zucchini first. We didn't bring daddy because he doesn't understand the concept of going out to eat and having to cook your own food. But after  hearing the rave reviews, even he says he'll come next time.

I think it is actually a Japanese chain of Korean BBQ. But if it gets them excited about veggies, I don't care what it is.
