Event Description

On Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., the Institute of Musical Arts welcomes back our very own Storyteller Barbara H. Clark in “Lord Knows I’m A Country Girl”, a solo performance of original stories. Barbara, a multi-award winning storyteller, never shies away from challenging issues.

"You can take the girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl." .... It took a visit "back home" for Barbara to learn the truth of that saying.  Now she shares with us some of the "back home" stories of her own country life while growing up in rural Maryland. Laugh, cheer, and maybe shed a tear or two as you follow her through the joy and sadness of those formative years. You will understand why she still thinks of herself as a country girl.

You can buy tickets online at https://lordknowsimacountrygirl.eventbrite.com or by visiting our website: www.imalosangeles.com or you can pay by cash, check or credit card, at the IMA office, while supplies last. We'd love to have you share in the festivities and enjoy an afternoon of great entertainment. As is our custom at the Institute of Musical Arts, a reception will follow the performance. Ours is a small, intimate theater, and seating is limited, so please, purchase your tickets today.  For additional information call: (323) 300-6578.
